Tiger OS-X and the Lone Coders

Finally Apple has announced that Mac OS X 10.4 aka Tiger will ship on April 29th. Fantastic news! But I wonder if this news has caught the lone coders or small developers by surprise. Many were not sure about the release date and are now scrambling to get their act together, and making sure that their programs work well with OS-X 10.4 aka Tiger. I pinged a few folks like Near-Time and Ranchero Software, and they indicated that all will be fine and dandy by the time Tiger rolls around. Another company, EZ2Sync, which makes software to synchronize Entourage with iCal and AddressBook and iSync sent an email saying that they were trying to upgrade their software to work well on Tiger.

Any Apple developers that couldn’t tell the release was imminent were pretty out of the loop.
